Property bargains in Spain

Brits looking to snap up property in Spain could bag themselves a bargain as many vendors are desperate to sell, suggested PropertyJournalist.com.

Marc Da-Silva, freelance property journalist and founder of PropertyJournalist.com, said there are a lot cheap properties in Valencia in particular, which he explained as being a by-product of the Spanish housing downturn.

"In terms of its geographical location, there are plenty of return flights from the UK on a daily basis to the Valencia region - as there are to other parts of Spain," he said.

"It is a nice part of the world and it just makes sense ultimately, in terms of Brits being able to gain easy access through flights to somewhere that is two or two and a half hours away from the UK. In my view it is not really an investment, but it is certainly a nice place for a holiday home."

His comments come on the back of the latest Rightmove Overseas search report, which showed that Valencia saw an increase of 1113.94 per cent in searches during September.

Brits considering a move abroad would be advised to use a self storage unit to keep some of their remaining belongings safe and secure.
