Valencia 'a good spot for a holiday home'
People considering purchasing a property in Spain may want to look at what is on offer in Valencia.
According to Marc Da-Silva, founder of PropertyJournalist.com, there are many homes in the city on the market for a low price at present.
"Given the Spanish housing downturn, a lot of the vendors have become desperate in their need to sell, so there is plenty of room for negotiation," he explained.
Mr Da-Silva added that Valencia is a popular choice among Brits because it is easy to reach from the UK due to the number of flights that depart for the destination each day.
However, he stressed that the city may not be the best place in Spain to buy an investment property, but commented that it is "certainly a nice place for a holiday home".
The most recent figures published by the country's Ministry of Public Works revealed that house prices in the nation fell by 1.3 per cent during the third quarter of 2011, compared to the previous three-month period.
